The Church

The Church

The church of Christ in the New Testament is called the body of Christ—Ephesians 1:22-23; Colossians 1:18-19, 24. These same verses also teach us that Christ is the head of that body, therefore it is His church. I Corinthians 12:12 tells us that the body is made up of many members, just like a human body, and Acts 2:47 tells us that God adds the saved to the church. We can conclude, then, that the church of the New Testament is the saved people of God.

The church of Christ at Traders Point is a spiritual family of imperfect people who have been saved by the blood of Jesus Christ and the grace of God, through obedience to the good news of His gospel. Just as we read in the New Testament, the Christians that make up the church at Traders Point are a diverse group of people of different backgrounds, different races, different educations, and different incomes, but we all have a common love, bond, and mission, with God and with each other, through our faith and obedience to Jesus.

We strive to worship and serve God just as we see explained in the New Testament, nothing more and nothing less. Our mission is to spread the good news of the gospel of Christ both throughout this community and across the world (Matt. 28:19-20) and to meet the spiritual needs of men and women (Eph. 4:11-6). We believe you will find us to be a genuine group of Christians who would love to help anyone in their relationship with God.
