Gospel meeting with LA Stauffer

19-Oct-2007

LA Stauffer will be preaching five lessons for the upcoming Traders Point Gospel meeting.  Brother Stauffer comes to us from the church that meets in Kirkwood, Missouri where he has been since 1979.  LA began preaching in Midway, Florida in 1957 and had his first fulltime work in Bardstown, Kentucky the following year.  He also preached in Louisville from 1960-63, in Berwyn, Illinois from 1963-67 and in Indianapolis from 1967-79.  In Indianapolis, brother Stauffer preached at the church that meets at 40th and Emerson as well as the Eastside church which was a work begun by the 40th and Emerson brethren.  He has also served as an elder at the Kirkwood church for the past ten years.

Brother Stauffer stays very busy, conducting six to eight meetings a year.  He also has written a commentary on the Gospel of Mark and has authored study booklets on "Family Life" and "The Church".

He and his wife Charlotte have six children and fifteen grandchildren.  Although LA continues to maintain a youthful appearance, it is true that Ted Stauffer is his son who also worships at the Traders Point church with his wife Amy.  The family looks forward to having LA in their home for a few days in the November 9-11 Fall meeting.

A wonderful spiritual feast is anticipated in this important weekend meeting.   These lessons are intended to be focused on members of the church, helping us to prosper and grow as servants of Christ.  However, we feel that any who would like to visit and be a part of this weekend effort, would also benefit in hearing them.   The lessons and their times are listed below.
