Steve Jones and Ben Lanius are added as deacons

Steve Jones and Ben Lanius were added as the 11th and 12th deacons at Traders Point Sunday morning, August 31st.  Elder Bob Choate had Steve and Ben join him at the front of the auditorium as he read the qualifications for this office and expressed the appreciation the current eldership has for these two young men.  Their decision to work with the other deacons in support of the elders and furthering the work at Traders Point is commendable and comes at a time the congregation is experiencing great spiritual and numerical growth. 

Elder Herb Smelser concluded with a prayer which offered both encouragement and appreciation for the decision Steve and Ben have made.   Steve and Ben are well respected in both their outstanding teaching and song-leading abilities, and both have a great love and dedication to the Lord.  They are seen as a valuable addition to the deacons already serving in that capacity at Traders Point.
