Fall classes set to begin for 3rd trimester 2003

21-Aug-2003

Sunday August 31 marks the start of the Fall trimester for 2003 at Traders Point.  The curriculum has been expanded to include four adult classes.  For the first time class lessons including question summaries will be available online at this web site in PDF format.  The acronym PDF stands for Portable Document Format.  Developed by Adobe, PDF files have become a popular way to exchange platform independent (different computers) documents which are viewable using the free Adobe Acrobat reader  .    PDF files are easily accessed and printed in a user friendly format.

The four adult classes (with teachers noted) that are available are as follows:

The Home and Family ~ Randy Allen and Kevin Stockton                                                       2nd Corinthians ~ Charles Crawford, Steve Jones and Donn Koonce                             Jeremiah and Lamentations ~ Morgan Tharp                                                                         Attitudes  ~ Rick Bockmiller and Kelly Hersey

The high school class will be taught by Tim Smelser and Calvin Young and the Junior High class will be taught by Ed Hill, Keith Corder and Bryan Everett.  Israel's History will be the subject of both those classes.

Students for the adult classes are signing up on lists made available in the foyer.  The 2nd Corinthians class is already full and others are filling up rapidly.  Recent expansion at Traders Point which provided a large new resource room and library, also created several new classrooms.  This will be the first trimester in which these classrooms have been put to use.  Much use is already being made of the resource room as teachers for the 2-year old through elementary grade levels are busy preparing lesson plans and activities for the young people in those classes.
